Listen slightly
to the rain drops falling
onto the rooftop
under cold purple skies.
Darkness is upon us,
and the train roars,
as the city sirens
flow between the buildings.
You can feel the peace
one drop at a time,
while the moon hides
behind the clouds tonight.
And I look at you and wonder
how you’ve been brought to me.
Fate now believed by a man
who never believed in destiny.
Slumber
I fall into my mattress
and slide under the blankets
to my favorite sound
of rain collapsing.
Just hours after leaving,
I miss you some more.
Your silent smiles.
That laugh I adore.
And somewhere in this valley,
my love is resting,
while I’m peacefully awaiting
her return.
Back in my presence,
back under the rain.
Let’s fall into slumber,
back in my bed.

Pretty and silent,
you’re all your own;
I fall in a second.
Bright eyes glance up
and I freeze;
unable to retreat.
I know what I have
when I’m feeling it;
the luckiest one.

Refreshing like rainfall.
The only part I hate
are the last few blocks home.
Luck can’t even describe it.

Sometimes the thought
accelerates my heart.

Above the city towers,
high in the heavens,

A charming condition.

Church bells ringing,
heads turn.
A confident smirk
at all I know I have.
If I lost it all
I’d still have the Earth,
a wondrous location,
floating in the Milky Way.

It can only be luck
to wake up in the morning
and feel this grateful.

An up and down attraction,
hiding high around clouds,
stars wink at you
as you surf beneath.
Life rarely provides much time
to practice before performing,
but where in the universe
is the fun in that?
So roll on, never stop rolling,
through every tiny thing
life brings to your front step.
And laugh while you do it.
When clouds get darker,
and rain begins to fall,
don’t be afraid.

Always been the one who works off emotion.
Magnetically attracted to the corner of the room.
Always make decisions based on feel, not logic.
Can’t pinpoint just one reason why

Collar lipstick,
velvet walls,
